Please sort and separate according to these categories.
Crush, smash and breakdown as much as possible.
- Newspaper and inserts, glossy junk mail, phonebooks and magazines
Acceptable if clean and dry.
Not acceptable with rubber bands, plastic bags, product samples, water, dirt, mold or other contamination.
- Plastics marked #1-#7
Acceptable if clean and dry
Styrofoam not locally acceptable
- Aluminum cans and foil*
Acceptable if clean and dry. Crushed or smashed.
Not acceptable: Full cans, spray cans unless instructed, cans with paint or hazardous waste.
- Tin cans and lids
Acceptable if clean and dry
Not Acceptable: Full cans or cans with dried food.
- Cardboard and Paperboard
Acceptable if clean and dry. Cereal boxes and similar packaging broken down.
Not acceptable: Stickers, napkins, tissues, waxed paper, milk cartons, laminated paper (fast food wraps, some food bags, drink boxes, foil). Any wet or food stained paper.
- Office Paper and paper junk mail and envelopes
Acceptable if clean and dry.
Not acceptable: Carbon paper, neon paper and thermal fax paper.
- Grocery bags
Acceptable if clean and dry.
Please sort and separate your items according to the categories above.
We do not accept motor oil, household toxics (paints, solvents, pesticides, antifreeze), batteries or printer cartridges. Please refer to the website below for how to dispose of these items.
*Use a magnet to check if a can is tin or aluminum. If it is magnetic, it is tin.
